The Terracotta Army Bobble is inspired by one of the most astonishing archaeological discoveries in human history. In 1974, farmers digging a well in Xi'an, China uncovered the first fragments of what would prove to be an army of over 8,000 life-sized clay soldiers, each one unique, buried alongside the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, over 2,200 years ago. This needlepoint canvas is a tribute to that breathtaking feat of ancient artistry, and to the nameless craftsmen whose work lay hidden beneath the earth for centuries, waiting to astonish the world.
