The Betsy Ross Bobble is inspired by Betsy Ross. Born in Philadelphia in 1752, Ross worked as a skilled upholsterer and seamstress at a time when few women ran businesses of their own. She famously stitched the very first American flag: thirteen stars arranged in a circle against a field of blue. This needlepoint canvas celebrates a fellow maker whose needle and thread helped shape a nation's most recognizable symbol.
